This is a legendary fighting game. Easily the best crossover fighter ever made. The roster has all the expected picks and some great niche picks. All the characters play and feel like they're supposed to. The adaptations are pitch perfect. Everyone has the best voices, and they are all written perfectly. Everyone is in character, and their personalities shine through gameplay all the time. both in how they play and how they talk to each other.

Gameplay is smooth as butter. Combos are responsive and fluid. It's fun to improve at the game, and it's extremely rewarding to do so. This got me into fighting game commands, and they feel great here. and there are extremely hard combos for the most dedicated players. The visuals are fantastic. The 3D environments are taken full advantage of. We have cinematic camera tricks to emphasize attacks in ways the 2D games couldn't do. Every moveset greatly improves upon the older games as well, while still respecting the old moves. The game feels unburdened by corporate interference. Knowing it had a troubled development make it more impressive.

This game is a miracle.

Ya i buy this games from springs sales, and yes , this ultimate marvel v capcom 3 like a ultra street fighter 4 , can play on Linux mint xfce via proton experimental steam compatibility , works very well on linux mint , frame per second very smooth and as fast as ultra street fighter 4 , highly recommend to play on linux via proton experimental, good luck and cheers ;D

You know what? i prefer this to MvC2, i like the way balance is broken here better, the presentation is better, even with the far less funky Soundtrack, but this is just so much fun

Ultimmate marvel tree is very fun and you can play as dante from dmc ii like dante a lot

Literally one of my favorites fighting games, next to Tekken 8, USF4 and SSBU, everything is perfect, the combos, the difficult in arcade mode, the roster characters, I don't care about what people say if MvC2 is better or something

Online is utterly dead but the art books included make it worth the purchase on sale for really cheap.

Fun game but controls could be much better. If it had more vintage controls like the first Marvel Vs Capcom/Xmen vs Streetfigher days, it would be more intense and enjoyable.

This game is not easy to learn, the playerbase is insanely skilled. If this game is for you, you dont need to be reading reviews, otherwise, there are better uses for your money, as unless you have hundreds of hours to devote to a game with no ranked play or local scene, this is effectively a single player game.

The best fighting game I’ve ever played.

When it comes to the game itself—everything here is just perfect. Even the balance is spot-on. Most fighting games have terribly balanced characters, but here everything feels just right. There’s also a huge roster of characters and plenty of stages to fight on.

As for the story—there’s almost none, but that’s not the main point of a game like this. And let’s not forget the soundtracks—they’re surprisingly not annoying, which is a big plus.

My final score: 8.8/10.

when is netcode

I cut my teeth on Capcom fighting games. Street Fighter II and later Street Fighter 3 Alpha. Though, the Marvel vs. Capcom series is something I have little experience in. That said, I think Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a lot of fun on the casual gamer level.

It's been a long time since I put in the hours and brainpower to try and be halfway decent at fighting games. And honestly, I never was. What I like about this game is I don't think it actually requires the memorization of combos and practice of pulling off moves of the Capcom fighting games I played a very long time ago.

Which is a good thing for getting together with some buddies for some couch versus play. The fighting is wild and spectacular and just as fun getting your butt kicked. That's not to say there isn't depth, there's more to explore than back in my fighting game heyday. It's just that also along as no in your friend group has gone all fighting monk on learning this game, it really feels like everyone has a good chance of finding a counter combination of fighters to take down anyone else.

I certainly recommend this as a sort of party game. Or just for someone that wants to dip their toe into how Capcom does fighting games.
